The European trademark association Marques invites you to its 35th annual conference in September. Meet numerous experts and exchange ideas at lectures and workshops – either on-site in The Hague or online via the Internet.

In September, the brand protection association Marques is hosting its 35th annual conference, entitled “Peace and Justice for Brands”. Participants can expect interesting panel discussions on brand protection topics, available to join on-site or online via an interactive Web platform.

The first panel discussion of the conference, for example, looks at enforcement options and questions such as when a copy becomes illegal or when to take action (session chair: Willem Leppink, Ploum, the Netherlands). Further panel discussions e.g. focus on the advantages and disadvantages of various options for enforcing rights (Session Chair: Anja Franke, Grünecker Patent Attorneys and Lawyers, Germany), recent cases of the EU Court of Justice and General Court, CJEU (Session Chair: Donald Schnyder, Wild Schnyder, Switzerland), effective cooperation with online marketplaces (Session Chair: Davide Bresner, Bresner Cammareri IP, Italy) and, for example, updates on Brexit (Session Chair: Roland Mallinson, Taylor Wessing, United Kingdom). On-site participants will also have the chance to visit Europol’s headquarters in The Hague.

This year’s Marques conference takes place from 13 to 16 September at The Hague Marriott Hotel in The Hague. Participation at the conference, which is planned as a hybrid event, is possible both on-site and online. In addition, further webinar sessions take place from 20 to 23 September. The detailed program, information on Covid-19 regulations, and the option to register can all be found on the Marques event website.
