The “Patents 2016” specialist conference in early March is entirely dedicated to the future of intellectual property management. Special attention will be given to the new IP protection requirements that businesses will be confronted with due to globalisation and digitalisation.

The German-language specialist conference “Patents 2016 – IP in the Digital World” will take place on 1 and 2 March in Munich. In expert presentations and forum discussions, participants will learn what role issues such as “industry 4.0,” “data ownership,” and “3D printing” will play in protecting their intellectual property. They’ll receive helpful tips for developing an effective, sustainable, and cost-conscious IP management system.

Among other presenters, Beat Weibel from Siemens AG will speak regarding “EU Patents – Current Status and Commercial Usage.” Dr. Jürgen Koch from Robert Bosch GmbH will hold a presentation regarding “Globalisation and IP – Challenges for the IP Department,” and Matthias Seyboth from MANN+HUMMEL GmbH will report on “News from China: Developments and Reforms in Patent, Design, and Inventors’ Compensation Law.”

The conference addresses business directors, patent and other lawyers, advising firms, and managers as well as employees in the intellectual property, R&D, patent, branding and licensing, legal, and innovation management sectors.

In addition to attending the two-day conference, participants may also participate in a preliminary seminar on the “Systematic Structuring of an Intellectual Property Department” as well as an in-depth seminar on “The Right Patent Strategy for the New EU Patent.”

You can find more information on the event and registration on the conference website (German).
