Take part in a discussion with experts from the European Patent Office

In November, take the opportunity to exchange views with experts from the European Patent Office and to strengthen the cooperation between industry and public authorities in the field of patent law.

In co-operation with the European Patent Office (EPO), the IPO Education Foundation is holding a conference in Munich on 14 November 2017 on the subject of European patent law.

The one-day event is aimed primarily at patent specialists from the private sector and law firms, as well as government agencies operating in Europe. Several plenary sessions are devoted to topics such as the unitary patent, harmonisation and the work of the Boards of Appeal.

Participants will also have the opportunity to attend various workshops led by practitioners and representatives of the EPO, where important questions and current developments in the field of patents can be discussed. The workshop topics include, among other things, patent searches, the patenting of computer-implemented inventions as well as amendments and exclusions of liability for patents.
