As part of its new solar park, Stadtwerke Zeven is planning an informative solar trail that will give visitors a clear understanding of the importance of solar energy for the transformation of our energy system. The aim is to present solar energy in an understandable way and raise awareness of sustainable energy production.
Various stations will be set up along the trail, using display boards, interactive elements, and illustrative examples to teach visitors about the basics of solar energy – from the conversion of sunlight into electricity to the current challenges and opportunities of the energy transition.

More Information

The solar trail is primarily intended to appeal to pupils from the nearby primary and secondary schools. With age‑appropriate content and clear explanations, the solar trail becomes an extracurricular learning location that complements classroom teaching in an exciting way.
There are six stops in total, each with interactive panels and installations providing exciting background information on solar energy. Topics covered include how a solar cell works, the structure of the electricity grid, and information about the sun as a celestial body and source of life.

A worksheet available for download provides for puzzle fun during the visit to the solar trail. Its questions can be easily answered with the help of the information that can be found at each station.

The information displayed on the boards is supplemented by extensive digital content on the solar path website. This content can be accessed directly via the QR codes on the boards. This provides in-depth knowledge and greater interactivity.
