The music school in Tübingen is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a week of festivities and various events. But above all, the school wants to present itself with a fresh and contemporary new look.

The new logo focuses on optimal legibility and recognition. The figurative mark features a level indicator that visualises both the theme of music, as well as the variety and diversity of the music school’s offerings.
This diversity is also reflected in the colour scheme of the gauge bars, which start with the red of the City of Tübingen and end with a square, also red, forming the basic shape of the CD of the City of Tübingen.
We define new design guidelines to complement the logo, covering everything from typography and colour schemes to sample layouts. While the new CD guidelines provide a framework for standardised design, they also allow for variety and flexibility.
