This January, you can join two specialist seminars by PATON to expand your knowledge about the enforcement of IPR in China and learn more about patent law in East Asia.

The State Patent Center of Thuringia (PATON) in Ilmenau is offering two new seminars on intellectual property rights management in East Asia in January: From 16 to 17 January, you can find out more about patent law and patent information in Japan, Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, and India in a two-day event led by Jutta Haußer from the European Patent Office in Vienna. The event will introduce you to the patent systems in ASEAN countries, including information on local peculiarities of patent documentation or details on features in the procedures of grant.

In a second seminar on 17 January, you can inform yourself on how to enforce intellectual property rights in China effectively. Dr. Ralph Nack, patent law specialist of the law company Noerr LLP, will talk about implementing successful IP protection strategies, legal measures for IP enforcement, as well as technology transfer and licensing, among other topics.

Both seminars are part of the advanced training program of the PATONakademie. For further information and to register for any of the two events, please visit the PATON events website.
